Welcome to Meditation Benefits and Techniques



Meditation is a name give to a technique which helps you to gain complete stillness and relaxation. Helping you to gain access to the subconscious part of the mind, which in turn allows you to gain more knowledge for self healing your body or even perhaps answers to questions you may have.

It is practiced all over the world by so many different cultures. A lot of our anient ancestors were into it, and I think that was for a very good reason.

You see answers are always inside we just have to do a bit of digging to find them. It helps you do this. Okay before you can begin meditation you first need to set the scene so to speak. For example you need to pick a time in the day when you will not be disturbed, now some people say do it in the morning and night.

Here is a sample of a wee relaxation session, you can listen to it and just see how it makes you feel.

 

I say to you as a hypnotherapist you pick a time that is right for you. Do not get yourself worried that things will not work for you if you don’t do your self healing at a certain time of the day. Remember time is man-made. Okay for more instruction you can go to my other page music, is also important for self healing as I like to call it as our bodies love sound, and when you get the right vibration of sound it can get you into the medative state quicker as I found out. Okay where was I oh yes, I always tend to do that, diversify a bit, the power of thoughts he.. he.. Okay once you know your purpose for the relaxation, as my granny said to me you must learn to walk before you can run. Also please know throughout the whole meditation process you are in complete control and can open your eyes whenever you want.

I wanted to share my knowledge with you because it is a really good healing for the body, mind and soul. We have got so much power within and yet we do not use it to its full potential. I have been practicing self hypnosis for a wee while and I am still mastering it but like I say its practice.

I can now say I find it easy to think of nothing and just listen to what ever sound is around me. When I did my first session I got a fright, let me put it this way I had an out of body experience, felt floaty and although

I was in the room with other people I felt I was somewhere else, I felt like I couldn’t breathe and I feared that. I thought if I couldn't open my eyes I would die, I know a bit dramatic but I now know what it was as I said an out of body experience.

My teacher said not to fear anything as I was in complete control at all times. I now know that. I love it and every time I do meditation it is always different. It is a very personal thing and truly spiritual also I feel.

So now that I have told you about the technique now I need to tell you the benefits of Meditation. Okay well I feel it heals the mind, body and spirit or soul. It really relaxes and refreshes you, makes the body feel calm and rested, knowledge is gained to answers you have.

Depending on your belief’s it can be a deep connection with your spirit guides etc, enlightened beings who are there to help us always. That’s what I feel anyway, I just feel nothing is what it seems in this world, I have an open mind and love knowledge, especially ancient knowledge as in our ancestors.

They were so clever but then so are we; we have just forgotten that part of our self. Meditation helps you to realise, who you are, really connect with the higher part of you.

Oh I could talk so much about this as I love it all but I’ll keep that for another time. One thing I want to say I keep everything simple, nothing complicated to corrupt my mind with, it is what it is and that’s all.

There are a lot of different types of meditation going about which are all great, however in my opinion they can call themselves a name, give it a label, but its all reaching the same goal. So this section is just purely for information. Below is a list of names of different types of meditation.

  • As I said earlier music is important and also affirmations, you see meditation can bring about lots of positive things, a big one for a lot of people is financial security, personally money is not my god, however it has been created by man and in the western world we have to have it if we are able going to be able to live.

    Now sometimes we find outself in a rut, I did myself, many a time and when the mindset is wrong or vibrations as some people call it, we keep going from bad to worse, as I said I did on many occasion, not now though. I changed the frequency and mindset.
