Acrylic Nails Forum
Welcome to my acrylic nails forum, I decided to create this forum as we need to help each other, whilst there are a lot of terrific nail technicians, there are a lot who are not so professional.
So post your experience and share your knowledge, it is important, the reason I feel this way is what happened to me when I had a beauty salon and this poor distraught woman walked in.
5 years ago I got a call out of the blue, this client was going to a wedding that night and had just gotten acrylic nails done and needed them taken of.
I said to her I didn't do acrylic nails and didn't have the proper acetone to take them of with, I asked her to go back to the woman who had put them on for her, but she didn't want to do that.
She was pleading with me so I said okay I will try, but I can't promise you of the outcome. It took me 4 hours to get the majority of the acrylic of as the nail technician did something ridiculous, she did't properly prepare the nail before putting the acrylics on.
What she had done was to put a set of acrylics on top of the old set that were there.
I couldn't believe what I saw and boy they were thick looking, just horrid, I didn't have acetone as I was using and alternative acetone free polish remover. That's why it took so long. I also had to do a quick manicure and suggested a week later to come back for another manicure to see if we could get the remainder of the acrylic of.
Which we did and that was a lesson learned on her part but it opened my eyes to the side of nail extensions which unfortuately is becoming common ground these days.
So it would be great to hear from you and read your posts on my acrylic nails forum. It would be great to read all about YOUR experience which will help lots more people.
